11/2/05: Tanner is a small, sweet boy weighing in at only 55 lbs.

Tanner is probably a mix of some kind...but he has the Golden face, the Golden eyes, the Golden personality...the Golden belief that he makes a great lap dog. Tanner was taken in as a stray by a loving family about a month ago. They weren't able to keep him because they are already at their dog limit, so they contacted RAGOM. In his rescuer's home he lived with 2 children (6 and 9), a cat and another big dog. Tanner was attached at the hip to his "brother" and he is so sad that our small dog wants nothing to do with him (that probably has something to do with the way he harrassed her before he was neutered!). Tanner would love to have a playmate in his forever home. We are told that he loves water and would try to get in the bathtub with the kids. In his few days here, he has been keeping us entertained -- last night while we were watching TV, rather than walk around our coffee table, he crawled underneath it whenever he needed to get anywhere. He knows some basic commands (though practice makes perfect!) and we are working on the leash thing.

Tanner is a pretty submissive boy and should integrate well with any resident dogs at his forever home. Contact placement@ragom.org if you would like to meet this guy!
