Toby is a beautiful, small 6-year-old Golden mix (part Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) who loves the comforts of a home with lots of attention! He appears to be in good health and will have a wellness exam this week. After he arrived at my home, he soon discovered my rocking chair and claimed it as his own. He loves any activity including swimming, walks, and running in a fenced-in area. Toby has been cared for by a very loving family before coming to RAGOM and it shows in his wonderful, friendly disposition with children and adults. He is very energetic and can be mischievous if he does not get adequate exercise. The first day he was left alone, he opened a folding closet door and discovered a container of treats. His nose does not miss anything! I sometimes hear Toby in another room playing and tossing various toys to entertain himself, but he does not like being left alone and shows some anxiety with panting and excitability when I return home. He will greatly benefit from some obedience training to help him walk without pulling and to follow simple commands. Toby is a wonderful companion.
