1/1/07: Well, what can I say? Tucker is now in Iowa! He is a real trooper. His transport was delayed due to a snow storm and a car accident. Everyone is OK and Tucker is the sweetest boy! He rode in the car from Minnesota and did not whine, pace or pant. He loves car rides. Tucker is a 2 year old male mix. We aren't sure, but probably a Golden/Lab mix? We have only had him for about 14 hours but this is what we know about him so far: he likes both female and male dogs, walks great on a leash, is housebroken, comes to his name, sits, doesn't mind cats or guinea pigs, doesn't jump on furniture, likes to be petted and is good with kids. And most importantly, he is free to roam the house without any troubles.

He was surrendered due to excessive barking. We haven't heard one peep from him since he arrived here. Well, unless you want to count talking. When he wants something he talks to us. He moans and grunts! He is a riot! We have been giving him a lot of encouragement and love/hugs. We have nicknamed him Wiggle Butt because his tail is in constant motion!

I gave him a bath this morning and he was petrified. It took two adults to lift him into the tub. Once he was in there he did fine. He has all the teeth on his upper right side missing and his eyes have a little drainage. Tucker definitely needs a pedicure! :) He will have his first vet appointment tomorrow for shots and a good once over.
